Victim Reports about their CornEvil experiences
We went down from Auckland last night to do the CornEvil maze and just wanted to thank you guys and compliment you!! Two of us girls were scared totally stupid (as evidenced by one of us - not me- hurdling the picket fence to escape a chainsaw wielding maniac) but we had a great time!! The effects and actors were all awesome and all the staff were really great!! We had the best time and have already been telling everyone to go see you guys!!! Once the nerves are settled we may even come back ourselves!!
Thanks again!
Yours Sincerely

Hi guys, we visited your maze Saturday night. A few of us who went are males in their mid 30's and you had us screaming and running just like the women. The best $17 I ever spent. Just when you think you know what is around the next corner. You realize you don't. Keep it up.

Just a quick note to say thank you so much for an awesome night at the CornEvil maze on Saturday. Your fabulous actors and spooky special effects have been the topic of choice around the water cooler today, and many of our friends and colleagues who were unable to attend are turning green with jealousy. I for one, will be back again next season once the hairs on the back of my neck settle down. Thanks again to your wonderfully helpful staff.

I wish to thank you for your hospitality on Saturday night, 2 March. My 50th birthday was just great and everyone really enjoyed the trip to the maze and your antics with the masks. Being able to use the silo was awesome and I will certainly recommend it to others as something exciting to do. Only two people in the group had been before Saturday night and the rest said they will be back again.
Thanks again

Whew - Beth, you guys are awesome! Many thanks to your husband, (who doesn't know very much, but is a good listener !! ) for looking after me in the corn maize - yes I was the one that screamed the most/loudest and thanks to you to for looking after me in the woolshed. I told my partner about your haunted night scary maze, and he can't wait to visit ! Also thanks to your two actors for scaring us - keep up the great work! We will definitely be suggesting to our visitors stop a while in the Palmerston North/Manawatu District, and I know we will both be back for another visit with our families...... Thanks again for a wonderful experience.
Kind regards,

A group of us just visited you from Auckland on Saturday night and I just wanted to tell you, that it was amazingly well done and you definitely scared the sh*# outta us! Freddy was really good and the chainsaws were insane! We would really love to come back next season and see some new stuff! But we loved the maze and think it's such a good idea. We are definitely too frightened to return anytime soon! But we spreading the word and can't wait to check it out next time!

The staff of White Island Tours would just like to thank you very much for our awesome night - this was our "After summer" work function. We started off with a BBQ in your courtyard area which we were all very impressed with; the hospitality that was extended to us was outstanding. Then it was off to test our level of nerves in the maze! This was just "amazing". Everyone who went through thoroughly enjoyed themselves, sometimes at the expense of our workmates. To sum it all up, we would just like to applaud you -from our perspective as a Tourism Operator it has been great to have another activity in the area that we can recommend.

It was fright night at the Amazing Maze, so named for its being a field of corn maze of about 8ft tall with the added fear factor of all sorts of ghosts and ghouls as well as the old favourite, the chainsaw murderer. Thank god it was dark - if I could see where I was going I might have been more afraid but I was too busy getting lost!

Eve has been hassling me all morning about running away from the clown. I don't know what was up with that aye. I was out of control. It was like my panic reflex was still cranked up so high I had to run from anything that looked remotely scary. She was cracking up hard that even after I slipped over my legs were still trying to run. I was just keen to get away. As you can see it was a hit all around, we will be talking about this for ages!!!!!
A few weeks ago, myself and three friends (two guys and a girl) came out to do CornEvil. I was the only one in our group who had done it before, and of course the two guys were determined that they wouldn't be scared from it all. As we came up to pay it didn't take me long to spot a photo of JASON and instantly I was shaking as last time he was the one who got me big time. No doubt your actors will remember us as one of the two guys was Ross (Ross was wearing the Cavers torch on his head). Ross's name traveled fast around all your actors & because of this, it seemed that it didn't matter were we went, we were guaranteed to have the sh*t scared out of us. After nearly wetting ourselves numerous times, we were getting closer to the end & I thought we had struck it lucky as we hadn't stumbled across Jason. But then what did we hear.......a chainsaw of course. Man I didn't think myself or the others could run so fast. I ended up hiding in the Maize, shaking like crazy & loosing my group. With Jason standing meters away from me I was too scared to call out so had to sit there and wait. Eventually they came back to get me & we managed to find our way out all with dry pants.
We all agreed that it was the best night we have had in years and will definitely be back to do it again. On behalf of my group I would like to give the biggest thanx to Jason of course, the zombie dude who was pleased that Ross had bent over for him, the three actors in white who seemed to chase us around for a least 15mins and all the rest of you who helped make it such a frightening night. Congratulations guys, you put on an outstanding show.
Thanx once again

Just wanted to say a quick thanks for the great night we had on Saturday at CornEvil. There were quite a few of us that started off together but in about 2 minutes we had all split up from running in different directions while being chased. I didn't actually think that I would be that scared but it was definitely the most scariest experience I have ever had. I've never screamed so loud and run so fast. I cannot say enough about the actors, they were just so so so fantastic!!!! I have been recommending it to everyone that I talk to. Unfortunately my work has decided that as it sounds so good, we will be doing it as a team building exercise in 2 weeks. I don't know if my nerves are going to be able to take it!!!!! Thanks again Amy:)

Just a quick note to let you know how much of a great night My Family and Friends had on Saturday night. My Wife and I had not let anybody in on the mystery destination and when the Bus pulled up to Corn Evil people that had heard of it totally freaked and when JASON hoped on board the Bus that kind of summed it up for everyone else who had not heard of the place. I totally take my hat of to the staff and THANK YOU all very much for FREAKING the S#*!! out of us all on my 30th. Once again THANKS for the AWESOME NIGHT I am and will recommend this as a not to be missed experience. Cheers Darren and Shahranee Pilosi.
Thank you for an awesome night - our group thoroughly enjoyed it. There were 10 of us and every one of us loved it. We heard about it through a friend of ours but prior to that had not known anything at all about it - so it was good fun (if you can say that) had by all. My husband absolutely loved the thrill of the whole evening. He said starting right from when we drove into the carpark with the characters walking around - they did an awesome job in building up the "fear" in him.
We are going to wait a month or two but will definitely be in to do it again. From discussion amongst our group the favourites were Jason, both chainsaw guys, Freddy, the Butcher, the Clown, the girl in white ... oh heck ... all of them!!! haha My husband was completely freaked out by Jason and one of the the chainsaw guys - well done! Thanks. Francella, RUSSELL McVEAGH
Just a note to say Thank you.
My workmates and I had a great time on Saturday night, we found your facilities great. The evening has definitely been the talking point at work.
Thank you.

All of the actors were great, although must admit Hannibal and the jail guy got me the most. Well done guys.
